Therapy is a process in which a client seeks services to help process emotional, psychological, or physical pain with the help of a therapist. While the severity of the pain and discomfort may vary, all humans, have challenges in life that will lead to moments of needing help. It is the reality of the human condition, that we may all need the help of another, at some point in our life. This may be a relationship change, a family being diagnosed with illness, personal and physical health problems, grief, separation/divorce, accidents, abuse, victimization, etc. Therapy can be a safe holding place where one comes to share that emotional load so it does not seem quite so heavy. For some, the path to healing may include individual therapy (one on one with a therapist), and others may benefit from couple sessions, or family sessions. The level of service will be determined in a collaborative manner by that of the therapist and client.
